Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Facility

The Residential Treatment Facility serves all Wyoming residents who are in need of substance abuse treatment. The facility has 86 beds to serve men, women, women with children, adolescent females and males.

The Residential Treatment Facility offers social detox to Natrona County residents. Five beds (3 male, 2 female) are available for social detox. All clients seeking admission to the social detox unit must be cleared medically by Wyoming Medical Center Emergency Room physicians. Upon admission and completion of social detox, all clients are assessed for further needs of substance abuse treatment either for residential or outpatient services.

Residential Substance Abuse Treatment

Admission criteria for adults (over age 18) requesting residential treatment requires and ASI, ASAM (Level III.3), Tuberculosis test and a current physical exam. Adolescents (ages 13-17) will need immunization records and Homebound Application for educational services in addition to ADAD or GAIN, ASAM (Level III.3), Tuberculosis test and physical. Adolescents are tutored while in treatment so they may continue their education. GED classes are offered to adults while in treatment.

Each client will develop an individualized treatment plan with their assigned counselor. All clients must attend a minimum of 30 hours of treatment each week, which includes education and therapy groups, individual counseling, family counseling and exercise. Length of stay in the program is determined on an individual basis according to client needs.

Discharge is based on ASAM criteria and individual progress with treatment goals. Each client's progress is staffed by the treatment team every 14 days. Continuing care for each client is arranged prior to discharge to ensure continuity of care for all clients.

Fees are based on a sliding fee scale and client's ability to pay. No client will be denied treatment based upon ability to pay. The sliding fee scale is posted on this website as well as in the client admission packet.
