David Monhollen
Executive Director


David S. Monhollen, MSW, ACSW

David has been the Executive Director of Central Wyoming Counseling Center since August 2011. He has been in the behavioral health and child welfare field since 1975. Mr. Monhollen was the COO of Steininger Behavioral Care Services in Cherry Hill NJ for seven years and the Vice President of Compliance, Standards and Research for KidsPeace Corporation in Orefield PA for five years. David was the CEO and President of Monhollen and Associates for 10 years and the CEO of Advanced Counseling Services in Michigan for five years. Mr. Monhollen was a Surveyor for JCAHO for 16 years. He is an officer of the Wyoming Association of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Centers and a former Board member of the New Jersey Association of Mental Health and AddictionAgencies.

David lives in Casper Wyoming with his wife and two adult sons.

Sarah Sulzen

Sarah Sulzen

Sarah Sulzen is currently the Executive Assistant for the Central Wyoming Counseling Center.  In this position she serves as the Assistant to the Executive Director, along with supervising the clerical, financial, information technology and maintenance staff.  Sarah has performed in the clerical/office management field for over 25 years and earned an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Casper College.  Sarah is a veteran of the United States Air Force.  Sarah lives in Casper Wyoming with her husband Chris.  They have five daughters and six grandchildren.


Susan Kates

Susan Kates, MS, LMFT

Susan has been the TFC Program Manager at Central Wyoming Counseling Center since 2000. Susan graduated with a BSW from University of Wyoming and a Master’s degree in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Susan has worked in the behavioral health field since 1985. Prior to becoming the TFC Program Manager at CWCC Susan worked at DFS, Seton House shelter director and therapist at the Casper Homeless Clinic. In 2008 Susan received the University of Wyoming Division of Social Work Field Instructor of the year. Susan currently sits on the CHINS committee of Natrona County.

Susan lives in Casper with her granddaughter.

Charlie Powell, Phd

Charlie began his work at the Central Wyoming Counseling in 1989 as a staff psychologist.  He became a supervisor in 1995 and a program a manager in 1998. 

He currently oversees the Mental Health Program, which provides school-based services and clinic-based services to the general population.  Charlie earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Wyoming in 1990.

Charlie lives in Casper with his wife, Loraine and his two adult sons are presently enrolled in college.


Paul Demple

Paul Demple, M.A., LPC 

Paul has been a member of the Central Wyoming Counseling Center team since March of 1989.  After several years of providing direct clinical services, he became the program manager of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program in 1995. Prior to working for CWCC, he was in Denver where he worked for Comitis Crisis Center, a United Way agency, as well as Bethesda PsycHealth Hospital.
