Louis Roussalis

Louis J. Roussalis, MD – President of Board of Directors

Louis J. Roussalis is the President of the Central Wyoming Counseling Center Board of Directors and has been a CWCC Board Member since 1975.
Dr. Roussalis is a native of Casper, Wyoming. He graduated from the University Of Notre Dame with honors and received his MD degree from the University of Tulane Medical School with honors in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He completed his internship at the University of Kansas Medical Center, did his residency in family practice at Tulane and post residency at the Aerospace Center U.S. Air Force Brooks Center in San Antonio, Texas. 
Dr. Roussalis has held multiple academic appointments at several prestigious Universities including University of Wyoming, Creighton Medical School, the University of Notre Dame, Kings College and Preceptors for University at Baum, Germany.
Professional Positions/Affiliations:  Chief of Staff at Wyoming Medical Center, Co-Founder and past president of the Academy of Family Physicians of the State of Wyoming.  Lou was a member of the Wyoming State Board of Medical Examiners and a past president.  Dr. Roussalis was a member of the Governor’s Committee on Drug Abuse, the Statewide Planning for Vocational Rehabilitation and Mental Illness as part of the Governor’s Committee. Dr. Roussalis has been an active member of the Wyoming Association of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Centers (WAMHSAC) and is the past president of the Board of Directors.
Honors:  Dr. Roussalis was selected as one of the Outstanding Family Physicians in the United States and was acknowledged as an Outstanding Family Physician of Wyoming by his peers. Lou is a Life member of Parent-Teacher-Association (PTA) for his outstanding work in drug abuse. He has received the National Recognition Physician Award was awarded the Notre Dame Academy of Science Pin.  He has been a guest Lecturer in Milan, Italy at the International Congress of Hypertension.
Lou lives with his wife Cathy, his son Dr, John Roussalis a local Plastic Surgeon and his daughter, Angelique Roussalis, MBA E-commerce and MS in computer science. 

  

Wayne Beatty

Wayne Beatty -  Vice President Board of Directors

Wayne Beatty retired from N.C.S.D. #1in 2008 after 40 years in the education business.  Twenty eight of those in Casper with the first 12 years being in Grants, New Mexico.  Born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado Wayne received his practical (human relations) training during the 7 years he spent as a union grocery clerk and part time shop steward at one of the large supermarkets in Pueblo.  He holds a Bachelor's degree from The University of Southern Colorado (Pueblo) and a Masters from Western New Mexico University (Silver City).  Wayne's passion is prevention and wellness education.  He still teaches substance abuse classes to teen first offenders through Mercer Family Resource Center. Wayne has been a valued member of the CWCC Board of Directors since 1990.

 

Dennis Howard

Dennis R. Howard, CPA, CVA - Treasurer Board Of Directors

Dennis has been a CWCC Board Member for over 20 years. He is a CPA with the Firm of Porter, Muirhead, Cornia & Howard. Dennis previously worked for a national CPA firm in Denver, before his move to Casper Wyoming. He is active in his Church and the Boy Scouts of America. Dennis ,his wife, Marda, and their family has lived in Casper for over thirty-five years. Dennis is the Treasurer for Central Wyoming Counseling Center.

 
CarolChapman

Carol Chapman- Secretary Board of Directors

Ms. Carol Chapman has been a member of the Central Wyoming Counseling Center Board of Directors since 2010. Carol spent 14 year as a primary grade teacher before joining her husband, Larry Chapman, at Chapman Trucking, Co., Inc. on a full time basis in 1985.  In addition to her role of secretary/treasurer, she dispatched a wide ranging fleet of specialized trucks and equipment until the company was sold in 2005.  As partner and co-owner of C-Can Rentals, LLC from its inception in 1999 until is sale in 2006, Carol serves as secretary/treasurer.  She had retail experience as owner and operator of her store, Treasure Chest Miniatures, which also published a mail-order catalog.  Carol has had numerous articles published in national craft magazines and special interest magazines as well as creating her own publication, Flitterings.  She has served on the board of directors of the Wyoming Trucking Association and the Colorado Neurological Institute which is associated with Swedish Hospital in Englewood, Colorado.
After the death of her husband in December 2009, Carol continues to manage their commercial building rental company, CL Properties, LLC and serves on the board of directors of the Casper Artist’s Guild as well as working on a limited basis in human resources for USA Trucking, LLC of Casper.

 

Bryant Badger

Rev. Dr. Bryant D. Badger, D.Min.

Dr. Badger served as pastor of 1st Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), in Casper, WY. He retired as pastor in 2008 after 25 years of service. He has been a minister for 45 years.

He received his B.S. in Religious Education from Phillips University, Enid, Oklahoma, 1961. He received his M.Div. at Phillips Graduate Seminary, Enid, Oklahoma, in 1965. He was ordained on June 6, 1965, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa @ 1st Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Dr. Badger received his Doctor of Ministry, form Phillips Graduate Seminary, at Enid, Oklahoma in 1978.

Dr. Badger Pastorates were 1st Christian Church in Perkins, Oklahoma, Memorial Christian in Oklahoma City, and 1st Christian in Casper.

He has authored/edited three books. He is a member of the Lion’s Club, the Wyoming Conference of Churches and served on the Board of Central Rocky Mountain Region of Christian Churches. He has served as President of the “Servants United” and has been a volunteer Chaplain for the Natrona County Sheriff’s Department and the Wyoming Medical Center. He also served as adjunct staff at Caper College and is a member of the Casper Artists Guild.

Bryant has been a Board member of Central Wyoming Counseling Center for over 25 years. His hobbies include gardening, boating & fishing and painting.

Dr. Badger and his wife Kathy have been married for 50 years. Kathy is a resident of Life Care Nursing Home. They have two lovely daughters with families of their own.

 

S Benton

Samantha P. Benton

Samantha has been the Commercial Loan Manager at First Interstate Bank since January 2012. She has been with First Interstate Bank since 2000 specializing in Hospitality Lending. She currently serves as the Vice President for CASA of Natrona County, a Board member of Central Wyoming Counseling Center since 2010 , a member of the credit committee for the SBA 504 program and a Board Member of the Wyoming Lodging Restaurant Association & Education Foundation.

Samantha has her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Wyoming and is a 2009 graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.

Samantha lives in Casper Wyoming with her husband Neil.

 

R Karkela

Ronald R. Karkela, CLU

Ron is the Managing Partner of New York Life for Wyoming, Western South Dakota and Western Nebraska. His job entails recruiting, training and managing the general office.

Ron has owned and operated three convenience stores and been a regional air traffic controller in Minnesota before joining NYL in 1990. Ron has served in various capacities for non-profit organizations in Minnesota and North Dakota. Mr. Karkela has been a member of the CWCC Board of Directors since 2006.

Ron and his wife Linda have lived in Casper for six years and have four adult children and two granddaughters. They enjoy visiting their cabin in Northern Minnesota.

 

EdOpella

Ed Opella

Mr. Opella has been a CWCC Board member since 2007. Ed retired as owner of Falcon Pump and Supply of Mills WY in 2000. He served as a member of the Casper City Council for four years and was Mayor of Casper for 2 years. Ed served on the Wyoming Highway Commission for 6 years. Mr. Opella is the Chairman of the Natrona County Commissioners.
Ed and his wife Tami have lived in Casper Wyoming since 1984.

 

B Price

Bob Price

Bob Price has been in broadcasting since his high school days, starting as on-air talent for radio.  He served as General Manager of KTWO Television for ( 25 ) years, and as co-owner and General Manager of Wyoming’s Clear Channel Radio  for 10 years.  Currently he is Regional Vice President and Wyoming Market Manager for Townsquare Media.  He has served on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations and is particularly proud of the record stations under his leadership have achieved in journalism and public service.

Bob and his wife Jana live in Casper and are the parents of two adult sons.

 

JamieWoolsey

Jamie M. Woolsey

Jamie is a licensed attorney in the State of California and the State of Wyoming and has had a litigation practice in Casper, Wyoming since 2005.  Jamie’s law practice includes primarily state and federal criminal law, domestic relations, as well as personal injury litigation throughout the state.  Jamie’s interest in joining the Board of Central Wyoming Counseling Center was based on her desire to further cooperation and integration of mental health services with the justice system. Jamie graduated from UCLA in 1999 and received her law degree from Villanova University School of Law in 2003.

 

John Patterson

John Patterson received his undergraduate degree in Political Science with emphasis on Public Administration. After receiving his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia, he went to work as Finance Director for North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  John has served for 33 years in local government in four different states and seven local governments. For over 25 years of his local government experience, he has been a City Manager.

Before coming to Casper, John was the Chief Administrative Officer in the City of Ogden, Utah.  John is on the Executive Board for United Way of Natrona County, and will become the 2013 United Way Chairman.  He also serves on the Executive Committee for the Boy Scouts of America, Central Wyoming Council. He also served for 11 years as a Board Member for Pioneer Valley Hospital and 8 years as a Board Member of Chamber West.  Since his arrival in Casper, John has become a member of the Casper Rotary Club.

When not working, John enjoys spending time with his wife Cindy and their children, as family is an important part of his life.

John is very active and has many interests, including his love of the outdoors.  He enjoys skiing, golfing, hiking, running, racquetball and wakeboarding.
