Job Description: Residential Substance Abuse Therapist

PROGRAM: Residential Facilities
TITLE: Residential Substance Abuse Therapist
DESCRIPTION:
Masters degree in counseling, social work, or related field and eligibility for or current Wyoming professional license or Bachelors Degree in social work, or related field, and Associates Degree in Addictionology and current Wyoming Professional certification in addictions.
REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1Conducts admissions assessments. Completes required documentation and develops initial treatment plan.
2Provides individual, family, and group services appropriate to client needs.
3Maintains positive working relationship with referral sources and aftercare providers. Coordinates with CWCC staff and other community providers in providing joint treatment as reflected in the treatment plan. Prepares needed reports of treatment as requested.
4Develops ongoing treatment plans through case staffing with the treatment team and interaction with the clients.
5Maintains case records to reflect course of treatment and provide required documentation. Provides follow-up and aftercare planning services to all clients.
6Provides program and case consultation and education services within the assigned program, and to other community groups and individuals as assigned.
7Participates in agency program development activities.
8Attends staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and other activities, which ensure smooth functioning of CWCC operations.
9Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Residential Facilities or by the Executive Director.
